Improvement of Linear Algebra Controllers using Sliding Surface Concepts: Applications to Chemical Processes

This work presents a novel control technique that combines concepts of Sliding Surface with Linear Algebra methodology for controller design. The result is an improved robustness, while the chattering effect attributed to great uncertainties avoided. A First Order Plus Dead Time (FOPDT) model process used develop based on and concept sliding surface improve its performance under uncertainties. An interesting feature this new ability follow variable references without overshoot, highly desirable characteristic most systems, avoids problem. Results CSTR laboratory batch reactor using are presented. Simulated experimental results demonstrate outstanding algorithm.
